Turn the Roamly line on
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile (older iPhones say Mobile Service or Mobile Data; some regions say Cellular) → tap your Roamly line → Turn on this Line.
- Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → tap your Roamly SIM → Use this SIM. (Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager.)
2
Select Roamly for mobile data
Your phone needs to be told which SIM to use for internet.
- iPhone: Mobile → Mobile Data (the top row) → choose your Roamly line.
- Android: on the SIMs screen, tap Mobile data and choose Roamly.
3
Turn on Data Roaming for the Roamly line
This is the step people skip, because roaming sounds expensive. It isn’t here: your plan price is all you pay, and this switch just lets your phone use the local network.
- iPhone: Mobile → your Roamly line → Data Roaming on.
- Android: SIMs → your Roamly SIM → Roaming on. (Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming.)
4
Flick Airplane Mode on and off
Turn Airplane Mode on, wait ten seconds, turn it off. This makes the phone search for the local network again. Give it up to a minute.
5
Restart the phone
If Airplane Mode didn’t do it, a full restart usually does.
6
Pick a network by hand
Sometimes the phone latches onto a network your plan doesn’t work with. Your plan page lists the networks that do work, under Coverage & networks. Choose one of them manually: see Choose a network manually. Then flick Airplane Mode once more.
Connected but nothing loads?
If you have signal bars on the Roamly line but pages won’t open, check the APN settings, then confirm the plan hasn’t run out of data or days on your plan page.Still offline?
Contact us and, to speed things up, send:- your phone model and the country you’re in,
- a screenshot of your SIM settings showing both lines,
- a screenshot of the Roamly line’s settings (so we can see Data Roaming and network selection),
- a screenshot of your status bar.
