When someone first clicks one of your links, we remember your code in their browser for 30 days from that click. If they buy on the website in that browser within those 30 days, their first purchase is credited to you.

Through a promo code

When a customer types your promo code at checkout, the order is credited to you. This works on the website and in the Roamly iPhone and Android apps, and there’s no time limit, because the code is on the order itself.

When more than one applies

  • A typed promo code wins over a link. If someone clicked your link but typed another partner’s promo code, the sale goes to that partner, and the other way round.
  • The latest link click wins. If someone clicks your link and then another partner’s, the sale goes to the last one they clicked.

When a sale isn’t credited

A sale won’t show on your dashboard if the customer:
  • Bought in the Roamly app without typing your promo code. The app can’t see link clicks.
  • Bought on a different phone, computer or browser from the one they clicked on, or cleared their browsing data in between.
  • Bought more than 30 days after they first clicked your link.
  • Had already bought through your link before. Only their first purchase through a link counts.
  • Paid for the whole order with Roam Coins, so there was no card payment.
It also won’t be credited if the link was disabled, or your program was paused, before they bought.

Refunds

If an order is refunded or charged back, it stays on your Sales page marked Refunded, and comes off your sales and revenue totals.

When sales show up

Straight away. A sale appears on your Overview and Sales pages as soon as the payment goes through. You see the plan, the destination, the amount and the date. We never share the customer’s name or contact details.

What you earn

What you earn on each sale, and how and when you’re paid, is agreed with Roamly. See Teammates, promo codes and your terms.
