Passkeys, 5 new regional plans, and 15+ new countries
Passkeys, new regions, and new countriesA bumper update — just in time for Euro summer. What’s new
  • Sign in with passkeys — Skip the password. Add passkeys (Face ID, Touch ID, or your device’s PIN) from your Account page; they sync across your Apple devices via iCloud Keychain. Sign in with one tap from any device that has them set up.
  • 5 new regional plans — One eSIM, one shared data pool, multiple countries:
    • Europe — 30+ countries, just in time for Euro summer
    • Caribbean — for island-hop itineraries
    • North America — US, Canada, and Mexico
    • South America — covers the main travel circuit
    • Africa — safaris, Cape Town, North Africa, and everything in between
  • 15+ new country plans — Roamly’s destination list keeps growing. Browse the full list in Explore.
  • SMS alerts Get notified when your data is running low or your plan is about to expire, so there are no surprises mid-trip. Manage your SMS preferences anytime from My account.
Why it mattersPasswords are the worst part of any login flow. Passkeys remove them while being more secure — the credential never leaves your device, and there’s nothing to phish.Regional plans are how multi-country trips should work: one eSIM, no swapping at borders, and meaningful per-GB savings versus stacking individual country plans. Especially handy for Euro summer itineraries that span four or five countries in a fortnight.Try it now

Help me choose — find the right plan in three taps
Help me choose — find the right plan in three tapsTravel eSIM providers usually do one thing: dump a price list on you. “5GB, 10GB, 20GB — good luck working out which one fits a 10-day trip with two video calls a day and the occasional map.” Today we’re shipping Help me choose, a small tool that does the math for you. What’s new
  • A new Help me choose button on every country’s plan page — opens a calculator tailored to that destination.
  • Six activity sliders for the things travellers actually do online: social media, video streaming, video calls, music & podcasts, messaging & email, and maps & browsing. Drag each to the number of hours you’ll spend per day.
  • A trip-length input so we know whether you’re going for a weekend or a month.
  • Live estimates of your per-day and total trip data usage that update as you drag.
  • A recommended plan that automatically updates — the cheapest plan in our inventory that covers your usage, with a validity that matches your trip dates.
  • A graceful fallback for heavy users: if no single plan covers your trip, we’ll surface our largest matching option with a clear note that you may want to top up.
Why it mattersMost travellers either under-buy and run out, or over-buy and waste money. The reason isn’t carelessness — it’s that nobody really knows what “10GB” means in practice. (Spoiler: it depends on whether you’re streaming Netflix on the train or staying offline at the beach.) Help me choose flips that around: you tell us how you actually use your phone, we tell you the plan that fits. One small thing worth knowing: most hotels, cafés, and restaurants have Wi-Fi — only count time you’ll actually be on mobile data. The tool’s a guide for the times you’ll be on the go.Try it nowOpen any country page in Explore, scroll to the bottom of the plan list, and tap Help me choose.

Detailed usage charts
Detailed usage chartsDetailed usage is here — see exactly where your gigabytes wentRoaming data is precious. Knowing how much you’ve used is one thing — knowing when and how fast you’re burning through it is something else entirely. Today we’re shipping detailed usage: a full breakdown of your data consumption over time, on every active eSIM.What’s new
  • A new Detailed usage view on every active eSIM, opened with a single click from your eSIM page
  • A cumulative usage chart showing every snapshot since activation, with your plan limit drawn as a clear reference line
  • A daily usage chart so you can see which days were heavy (the day you streamed Netflix on the train) versus light (the day you stayed offline at the beach)
  • Average per day and a smart forecast that estimates if you’ll run out before your plan expires — so you can decide whether to top up early
Why it mattersKnowing the pattern of your usage — when it happened, how fast you’re burning through it, whether you’re on track — turns roaming data from guesswork into something you can plan around. Spot a heavy day before it becomes a depleted plan. Decide on a top-up before you’re stuck without service.Data refreshes automatically every hour while your eSIM is active. No need to check in — it’s just there when you want it.Try it now — open any eSIM in My eSIMs and click View detailed usage.

Post-launch update
Post-launch updateWe’ve shipped a few improvements based on real-world usage from our first customers:Accurate eSIM status tracking — Your eSIM now correctly shows as “Installed” after you add it to your device, and only moves to “Active” once you connect to a network in your destination country. Your plan countdown starts when you actually arrive, not before.Live coverage monitoring — We now automatically monitor network coverage changes across all plans. If an operator upgrades from 4G to 5G or a new carrier is added, your plan details update automatically.Improved plan details — Country pages now show carrier information, nearby destinations, and clearer plan breakdowns so you can pick the right plan with confidence.More coming soon — we’re working on the Roamly iOS app and expanded regional plans.
