# Choose a network manually

> When automatic selection lands on a network that won't connect, pick one from your plan's list by hand.

Your phone normally picks a local network by itself. Occasionally it picks one your plan doesn't work with, or one that's overloaded, and sits there with No Service or a crawl. Choosing a network by hand fixes both.

## First, find the networks your plan supports

Open your plan and look under **Coverage & networks**. It lists, for each country on the plan, the local networks the eSIM can use and the speeds they support.

* **App:** open the plan and scroll to **Coverage & networks**.
* **Website:** open the eSIM at [onroamly.com/my-esims](https://onroamly.com/my-esims) and expand **Coverage & networks**.

        Settings → Mobile → your Roamly line → **Network Selection**.

        After a few seconds the phone lists the networks it can see.

        Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → your Roamly SIM. (Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Network operators.)

        Tap **Automatically select network** off (Samsung: **Select automatically** off). The phone searches and lists what it can see; this can take up to a minute.

      <Step title="Choose one from your plan's list">
        Tap a network that appears under Coverage & networks. If it refuses, try the next one.

<Note>
  Set network selection back to **Automatic** when you move to another country on a regional plan, or the phone will keep looking for the network you chose.
