# Top up your eSIM

> If your plan is reloadable, add data from your plan page before it expires. It lands on the same eSIM, no reinstall, and extends your expiry.

A top-up adds data to the eSIM you already have. Nothing to install, nothing to change on your phone.

## Can my plan be topped up?

Most can. Plans that support it show **Top up** on the plan page (and say so on the plan's page before you buy). If you don't see the button, the plan can't be topped up, and the answer is a new plan for the same destination.

  Top up **before** the plan expires. Once a plan has expired the top-up option disappears, because there's no active plan to add to.

## How to top up

    In the app's **My eSIMs** tab, or at [onroamly.com/my-esims](https://onroamly.com/my-esims).

  <Step title="Tap Top up">
    You'll see the packages available for your plan, with data, validity and price.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a package and pay">
    Pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and apply Roam Coins if you have them. Every top-up earns Roam Coins too.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Keep using your eSIM">
    The data is added to your existing eSIM within a few minutes. No reinstall, no new QR code.

## What happens to my expiry?

The top-up's validity runs from the day you top up. So a 7-day top-up bought today gives you until this time next week, whatever your original expiry was. The new date shows on your plan page as soon as the top-up lands.

## Good to know

* A top-up is for the same destination as the plan. Going somewhere else? That's a new plan.
* Topping up needs an internet connection. Hotel or café Wi-Fi is fine if you've run out of data.
* Each top-up gets its own receipt. See [Receipts](/payments/receipts).
