# Rename your eSIM

> Give each eSIM a name you'll recognise, from the pencil on the website or Rename eSIM in the app.

If you're carrying more than one plan, or buying for the family, a name like *Japan – Sam* beats a plan code.

## In the app

Open the plan, tap the pencil in the top-right (or **Rename eSIM** further down the page), type a name and save.

## On the website

Open the eSIM at [onroamly.com/my-esims](https://onroamly.com/my-esims), tap the pencil next to its name (or **Rename** in the **⋯** menu), type a name and save.

## Good to know

* The name only changes how the plan appears in your Roamly account. It doesn't change the label your phone gave the line in its SIM settings; you can rename that separately in your phone's settings.
* Clear the name to go back to the default.
* You can rename a plan at any stage, including after it's expired.
