# Check your data usage

> Live usage, charts and a run-out forecast on your plan page in the app or at My eSIMs, refreshed hourly.

Your plan page shows exactly where you stand, so you can decide whether to ease off the video calls or top up.

## Where to look

* **App:** open the **My eSIMs** tab and tap your plan.
* **Website:** sign in at [onroamly.com/my-esims](https://onroamly.com/my-esims) and open the eSIM.

## What you'll see

* **Data remaining** and **data used**, as an amount and a percentage.
* **Days left**, or **Activate by** if the plan hasn't started yet.
* **Average per day** since the plan started.
* **Forecast**: based on your average so far, the day we expect your data to run out. If the plan will expire before then, it says so, so you only top up when you need to.
* **Charts** of total usage over time and how much you used each day, so you can spot the heavy days.

## How fresh is it?

Usage updates about once an hour while the eSIM is active. There's nothing to refresh; check back when you're curious. Because of that hourly lag, the figure can be slightly behind what you've actually used in the last hour.

## Running low?

If your plan can be topped up you'll see **Top up** on the plan page. See [Top up your eSIM](/managing/top-up). If it can't, you can buy a new plan for the same destination; you'll need Wi-Fi to install it.

## Using less

Hotspotting, photo backups, app updates and streaming are the usual culprits. Pausing automatic backups and updates while you're on the eSIM makes a noticeable difference. See [Use your phone as a hotspot](/managing/hotspot) for tips when you're sharing.
