# What is Roamly?

> Australian-owned eSIM provider: buy a prepaid data plan for 100+ destinations, install it at home, land connected.

Roamly sells prepaid mobile data for travel, delivered as an eSIM. You buy a plan for your destination before you fly, install it on your phone at home, and switch it on when you land. No airport SIM queue, no roaming bill when you get back.

## How it works

    One tap in the app or on the website adds the eSIM to your phone. It sits alongside your normal SIM, switched off, until you need it. See [Installing your eSIM](/installing/before-you-install).

  <Step title="Switch it on when you land">
