Can I Use My eSIM on Multiple Devices?

No — once an eSIM is installed on a device, it's locked to that device and can't be transferred.

This is a limitation of how eSIM technology works, not just Roamly. Once the eSIM profile is downloaded to a specific device, it's tied to that device's hardware. Here's what you need to know.

What if I get a new phone?

Unfortunately, eSIMs cannot be moved between devices. If you change phones mid-trip or before travelling, you would need to purchase a new eSIM plan.

Can I install on a different device than the one I purchased from?

Yes — when installing your eSIM, use the QR code method to install it on a different device. Just be aware that once it's installed on that device, it stays there. Choose carefully before you scan.

Can I delete and reinstall?

You can delete an eSIM from your phone and reinstall it, but only on the same device. If you delete it from one device, you cannot install it on a different one.

Tip: If you accidentally delete your eSIM or install it on the wrong device, get in touch with our support team and we'll help sort it out.
